We’ve compiled a list of great wedding photo Locations in Montreal for you, whether the photography spots include indoor and outdoor options, and anything else we know that we feel would be relevant. Classic Elegant Style Locations:
Montreal Old Port / Old Montreal
Old port Montreal is definitely one of the most common and classic places for engagement photoshoot and Wedding day photography. And Old Montreal is popular and well known for its unique architecture and green space, it's a unique location where you can find so many hidden gems. However as mentioned, since it is one of the quite well known tourist locations, It may be extremely crowded during summer and busy wedding season. However, it still remains as one of our favourite downtown wedding photo locations (Especially during rainy day or when you have your venue booked close by, such as Theatre Saint James, Gare Viger, Montreal Science Centre, Crew Cafe, Marche Bonsecours, Hotel Nelligan, World-trade Centre and Hotel Intercontinental, etc)
Permit: Some Locations in Old Port might need permit or entrance fee.
Features: Give you a ton of variations (From indoor to outdoor Locations), Picturesque Backdrops, Photogenic alleyways.
Best Time of Day to Avoid the Crowds: Avoid Pre and post work hours. Weekend, summer during peak wedding season.
If you’re looking for something with more of an architectural oomph, The Oratoire Saint Joseph is definitely the way to go. With gorgeous historic Architectural that look nothing like most of Montreal, this area provides plenty of photographic opportunities and is often overlooked.
