Talking Wedding Trends and Tips with Dakor events

Here at Luxury Moment Photography, we want to ensure all the unique elements of your wedding are captured flawlessly. More often than not, beautiful wedding photographs are a result of the combined efforts of all vendors involved. That’s why it’s important for us to build genuine relationships with top wedding professionals to guarantee a great experience for everyone!

We recently had the chance to work with one of most amazing event planners, Isabella Tassoni of Dakor events, Weddings, private event and corporate event planner, for this style shoot and also to learn more about the various facets of wedding stylization and décor. We are super excited to share with you her insight on designing your fabulous wedding and decor ideas!

LM: Tell us a bit about yourself and your company.

Isabella Tassoni: My name is Isabella Tassoni and I am the founder of Dakor Events. I provide a full event planning service company located in Montreal. I started Dakor Events based on my love for hosting, aesthetically pleasing settings, and making people happy. We take pride in providing our clients with a service that emphasizes an attention to detail, that offers peace of mind all while allowing them to experience the wedding or event of their dreams. Whether it be a lavish or intimate gathering celebrating life’s little pleasures, we want you to feel like a guest at your own event.

LM: Tell us a bit about the theme (Cheese & Wine) and the idea behind this styled shoot. As a wedding industry influencer, what are some photo worthy trends in wedding decor or design you’re seeing this year?

Isabella Tassoni: I recently spent some time travelling around Tuscany got inspired with the colors, and simplicity of it all. Combine that with my love for hosting, equates to what we were able to produce here! I love putting a menu together, cooking it all up or (getting my go to caterer to do so), styling it and presenting my guests with an experience. I love making people feel special and that’s why I was inspired to shoot an intimate wine & cheese as I would do for any of my own guests in my home.

LM: Being an event planning company, how does photography factor into your wedding planning process?

Isabella Tassoni: Photography is such an important part of the full experience when it comes to events, styled shoots or special projects because it allows for us to document our work, build a portfolio and showcase what we are capable of providing our clients. What are things to consider when choosing wedding details that will look good on photographs? I love playing with textures, patterns and lighting. I feel like it adds volume and is my favourite way to give my work depth.

LM: What photos are you most excited to see post wedding day?

Isabella Tassoni: My favourite photos are the “calm before the storm” shots of venue, set up and then any shot that evokes emotion from the guests and / or bride or groom.

LM: What are some photo worthy trends you’re seeing in floral and design this year?

Isabella Tassoni: These days, I think the biggest floral trend is using non-traditional flower elements in arrangements and installations. Many are thinking outside the box which is making our industry much more interesting and creative than it already is!

LM: Do you see any new trends emerging in the wedding industry presently?

Isabella Tassoni: I think the beauty of the wedding industry is that we can only add to trends; because every celebration is a unique representation of each couple. There is no cookie cutter-wedding trend or style. I feel that weddings are only becoming more personalized which allows for vendors in the industry to get more creative whether they are becoming edgier, classier etc! HOWEVER, uniqueness and personalization in my opinion is taking its form through different aspects like statement cakes, non-traditional floral installations, detailed papeterie and more useful and personalized takeaway gift. There is no right or wrong answer in creating an event when it comes to your own taste!

LM: Any piece of advice for a bride-to-be?

Isabella Tassoni: Not because I'm an event planner, but I’ve seen too many brides try to save money by not investing in someone to take care of the day to day of their wedding or event. Trust me when I say, cut elsewhere and save yourself the headache and stress because it is so not worth it. It will cost you your sanity and more money.

LM: Last but not least, how was your recent work experience with Luxury Moment Photography? :)

Isabella Tassoni: It was our first time working with Betty & Leslie from Luxury Moment Photography and I have to say we had such a great time and experience shooting this wine and cheese styled shoot. They were so easy going, collaborative and open! We already are looking forward to the next time we get to work with them!

We are also including some of our favorite pictures from this cheese and wine styled shoot that we have recently worked together with some other amazing vendors.
